This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about delivering holistic, recovery-oriented care to adults with complex and enduring mental health needs within the community.Whether you’re looking for full-time stability or the flexibility of part-time locum work, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to advance your career while making a genuine difference in the lives of service users.Perks and Benefits:Flexible Working Options: Full-time or part-time hours to suit your lifestyle and personal commitments.Competitive Rate: £27 per hour, reflecting your valuable experience and clinical skill set.Work-Life Balance: Enjoy the benefits of locum flexibility with consistent support and scheduling.Professional Growth: Access to ongoing clinical supervision, training, and development opportunities.Supportive Team Culture: Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on recovery and empowerment.Key Responsibilities:Caseload ManagementAct as Care Coordinator under the Care Programme Approach (CPA), leading care planning and monitoring recovery outcomes.Clinical Assessment & InterventionConduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and deliver personalised interventions in line with NICE guidelines.Support clients in achieving stability, independence, and improved mental health.Risk & Crisis ManagementPerform risk assessments, formulate risk management plans, and respond to acute episodes, including safeguarding concerns and mental health crises.Engage in home visits and urgent clinical interventions as required.Multi-Disciplinary CollaborationWork in partnership with psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, and third-sector organisations to deliver integrated support.Medication OversightSupport medication adherence, administer depot injections, monitor side effects, and offer psychoeducation around pharmacological treatments.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate, timely records using the Trust’s electronic patient record system.Participate in clinical audits, service improvement meetings, and reflective supervision.Candidate Profile:Essential Qualifications:Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.Core Experience & Skills:Proven experience in adult community mental health or recovery-based services.Strong clinical decision-making and risk assessment skills.Familiarity with Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and safeguarding legislation.Capable of lone working in community and home settings.Desirable Skills:Previous experience as a Care Coordinator under CPA.Trained in CBT, DBT, or other structured therapeutic modalities.Access to own vehicle and full UK driving licence.Prior work in CMHT, CMHRS, or related community roles.Attributes:Person-centred, culturally competent, and recovery-focused.Resilient, flexible, and skilled in navigating complex emotional situations.Excellent verbal and written communication.Why Chertsey?Chertsey combines historic charm with modern convenience, nestled in the heart of Surrey.
