A true think big environment.🌍 Other SitesWe also have teams in London and Edinburgh, focusing on Growth, Finance, and Impact — cross-functional and highly collaborative.Your RoleThe Agronomy Technician will be responsible for gathering data from our state-of the-art vertical farm (baby leaf production). You will help us evaluating the performance of the facilities, by collecting information related to climate, fertigation, crop yield and quality before presenting them in an efficient and organised way to the Head of Product, the Head of Crop Optimisation and the Grower Manager.Role Description
  • Co-develop a measuring and sampling plan so relevant data can be collected accurately and efficiently.
  • Deploy probes, perform measurements, collect samples, and record data as per plan
  • Equipment calibration and testing.
  • Clean, analyse and synthesise data and present it to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Be a point of contact for external agronomy testing laboratories.
  • Get involved in the improvement process and relevant discussions.
  • Help to co-develop the future measurement and sampling plans and procedures in conjunction with the Grower Manager and Head of Crop Optimisation.
  • Assist the QC team with post-harvest shelf-life testing activities.
  • Feed into the research department to help co-develop trials to test process improvements.
  • Become an expert in the function of the farm with relation to plant agronomy.
  • Assist the Grower Manager on an ad hoc basis
Who are you?
  • You are a reliable enthusiastic person, passionate about plants, applied plant science, and plant production.
  • You have a background in plant science, agronomy and/or horticulture
  • You can observe, listen, ask questions and synthesise information from multiple sources to formulate solutions to problems.
  • You are hands-on, practical individual who is hard-working and articulate.
  • You can organise your workload with little supervision, but still, you hate missing a deadline.
  • You are meticulous; you know how to be succinct and precise at the same time
  • You are a good communicator, written or verbal, formal or not.
  • You enjoy fast-paced working and collaborating with like-minded individuals
  • You have excellent ICT skills
