Location: Various schools across the Sefton areaStart Date: ASAPContract Type: Full-time Long-Term placement with potential to go Permanent.Salary: £13.68- 15/ hour (depending on experience)Due to an urgent need for experienced Caretakers in Sefton schools, we are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our facilities teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of school premises.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Manage the opening and closing of school buildings.
  • Conduct health and safety checks and risk assessments.
  • Assist with deliveries and move furniture as required.
  • Oversee external contractors visiting the school site.
  • Support school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities role.
  • Basic maintenance and DIY skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive approach.
Must Haves:
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced Child DBS: You must have an Enhanced Child DBS check or be willing to undertake one (we can help with this).
