Science Technician

- Setting up and clearing away equipment for practical science lessons
- Preparing chemical solutions and ensuring all materials are safely stored
- Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety protocols
- Assisting students and staff during experiments (and occasionally rescuing a rogue test tube!)
- Managing stock levels and keeping the science cupboard in order
- Previous experience in a school lab or similar technical/scientific role is highly desirable
- A passion for science and a great sense of organisation (and humour!)
- The ability to follow health & safety protocols (no mad science allowed, sorry!)
- Strong communication skills – you’ll be working with staff and students daily
- A proactive and flexible attitude – no two school days are the same!
- Enhanced DBS – if you don’t already have one, don’t panic! We can help you apply
- EWC registration (Education Workforce Council – essential for working in Welsh schools)
- Previous experience in a school lab or similar technical/scientific role is highly desirable
