Due to growth an additional Para-planner is required to join a group of Financial Advisers to provide support and undertake advice research based upon information from the Advisers.What does the role involve
  • The paraplanner is to prepare Suitability Reports, based upon information received from the Advisers
  • The paraplanner is to supervise the administrative staff in the preparation of relevant material for submission to the client with letters of advice
  • The paraplanner is to follow company procedures for recording chargeable and non-chargeable time worked
  • The paraplanner is to bill, in a timely manner, for all chargeable work
  • When advisers are absent the paraplanner is to monitor cover for essential duties being given by other advisers
  • The paraplanner is to alert the relevant adviser of any review events and is to initiate the appropriate letter for the adviser's approval
  • The paraplanner is to oversee the delivery of accurate valuations to clients by Administrative Staff, according to 1st Diary prompts
  • Where appropriate the paraplanner is to draft a covering letter for valuations for adviser approval
  • The paraplanner is to oversee all other general tasks carried out by all administrative staff
  • The paraplanner is responsible for the continuing update of allocated information on the website according to procedures
What do you need?
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in an IFA environment – Diploma (Level 4)
  • Degree educated
  • IT systems - Outlook, MS Word essential, Excel
  • IFA Office procedures and compliance
  • Financial products
  • Pension and Investment knowledge
  • Letter writing
  • Financial Product Research
  • Excellent customer handling
  • Able to multi-task and set own priorities to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Experience of a fee based environment
