- Retail DiscountsSummaryThe executive body of the North East Combined Authority owning and operating the Tyne and Wear Metro is looking to hire an Organisational Resilience Manager to lead, provide expertise and guidance to the business for all aspects of Organisational Resilience across all its activities and undertakings including guidance in relation to legislation, regulation, and industry standards.Responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring the creation, delivery and implementation of an Organisational Resilience management system and compliance to the Integrated Management Systems (IMS). Carry out monitoring and surveillance activities as required.
- To support the corporate plan and to contribute to the development of the QHSSE Strategy To develop, produce and deliver an annual Organisational Resilience plan in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing towards the delivery of the QHSSE Strategy to ensure Nexus’ QHSSE objectives are met.
- Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on organisational resilience, advising on strategies to enhance emergency preparedness, crisis and business continuity management.
- Design of policy, strategy and operational frameworks that allow us to prepare for, respond to, and adaptively recover from adverse events using a ‘continuous improvement’ approach.
- Develop and oversee delivery of a risk-based annual test case plan, to include the testing strategy, scope, objectives and validation of performance to include learning reviews.
- Conduct analysis to identify emerging trends and threats to the organisation across all key thematic areas and geopolitical landscape and develop and implement control actions within organisational resilience processes
- Ensure organisational resilience policies and practices are informed by industry research and are aligned with organisational standards, legal considerations and international best practice, namely BS65000 and the ISO323 suite of international standards.
- Act as the primary contact for Nexus for key external stakeholders such as the North East Combined Authority, local authorities, emergency services, Regulators and local transport operators.What we require from you:
- Formal qualification in emergency planning, crisis management and/or business continuity management
- Bachelor's degree (Level 6) or equivalent demonstrated competence via skills and knowledge in Organisational Resilience, Security Management, Risk Management, Emergency Management or other relevant management discipline
- Demonstrable knowledge of Crisis Management, Business Continuity Management and Organisational Resilience practice in a complex organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of Organisational Resilience specific legislation and industry standards, including BS65000 and the ISO323 suite of international standards
- Demonstrable experience of managing a team and organising and delegating workloads and capable of working in a fast moving and changing environment.
- Good written, oral and communication skills.
- Good analytical skills, with experience of investigation and reporting on significant incidents and accidents and undertaking audits.
- Good interpersonal skills and an effective team player and able to work on own initiative.
