- Relevant managerial/admin qualifications
- Experience of effective management of staff and leading a team
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Understanding and applies the principles of quality assurance systems
- Experience of working in Eye Screening
- Experience of working within screening programmes
- Previous NHS experience
- Experience of extracting data from databases
- Experience of quality systems and quality management
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective report writing
- High levels of literacy and numeracy
- Good Microsoft Office Suite skills and ability to learn and understand screening pathway information systems
- Ability to negotiate and persuade others
- Presentation skills and ability to engage and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- The ability to speak Welsh/willingness to learn
- Knowledge of team working and supervisory management
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Working knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft word; excel, database, outlook
- Knowledge of the principles of screening
- Committed to quality. Confident. Reliable .Motivated/enthusiastic. Flexible approach to work, but able to work within policies and procedures when required. Good attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to travel between sites in a timely manner to meet the needs of the service
- Ambitious. Keen to develop skills
