CLASS 1 STEEL DRIVERHours: MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 06:00 STARTSPay Rate: £18.00 PER HOURPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Dudley. Rates of Pay:
  • Basic: £18.00 per hour
Day to Day Duties:Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
  • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Deliver flat sheet panels up to two tonne packs
Essential Skills:As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
  • Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
  • Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous steel experience is a must
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
Training:
  • Industry related training provided throughout
