- Maintain a portfolio of insolvency cases and ensure efficient, proactive progression through the lifecycle.
- Oversee a range of insolvency appointments, including:
- Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
- Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs)
- Administrations
- Bankruptcies and other personal insolvency matter
- Assist with the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of closure budget schedules established at the beginning of the financial year, ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and in alignment with departmental targets.
- Monitor statutory reporting obligations and ensure submissions are accurate, complete and timely.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Finance, Tax) to resolve technical case issues
- Engage professionally with external stakeholders including directors, creditors, legal representatives, and regulators.
- Lead and support the management and development of the Case Progression team including regular meetings with 'front end' teams.
- Ensure team members are briefed, motivated, and supported to complete cases in accordance with best practice.
- Review staff work and provide constructive feedback; ensure case files are suitable for internal review.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior members of the department.
- Promote continuous improvement by managing KPIs and driving operational efficiencies.
- Contribute to internal system development, automation, and process optimisation.
- Attend client meetings alongside the manager or appointee, providing commercial insight and technical support.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
- Support managers and directors in exceeding client service expectations.
- Review statutory documentation for regulatory compliance and consistency with professional standards.
- Supporting the management and coordination of dividend-related tasks to meet reporting deadlines and compliance standards.
- Prepare case summaries for internal briefings and partner updates.
- Assist in managing work-in-progress (WIP) and client debtor balances on a case-by-case basis.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews across the department.
- Attend relevant business development and marketing events to support practice growth.
- Experience of corporate (administration/liquidation) and property (LPA) insolvencies is necessary.
- Knowledge of insolvency rules and statutory requirements is required.
- Quick to learn/adapt to new procedures/situations.
- Ability to organise to be able to work on several different assignments at one time.
- Ideally C.P.I. qualified
