- Mental Health nursing UK NMC registration
- Possess or be working towards a relevant teaching and assessing qualification
- Ability to demonstrate experience of working in wide range of healthcare settings (this includes pre-registration experience)
- Experience of working within a forensic setting
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983) with particular reference to Part 3
- Demonstrate an awareness/understanding of forensic mental health legislation framework and relevant national policy
- Demonstrate an awareness/understanding of the evidence that underpins the care and treatment of mental health problems, autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of multi disciplinary/inter agency working and the need to work across professional boundaries
- Demonstrate an understanding of the use of an evidence-based approach to underpin clinical practice and have the ability to illustrate the application of this.
