You will use your technical expertise and knowledge to improve the day to day operational efficiency of our machinery, by ensuring regular and efficient maintenance is carried out.You will solve problems quickly and effectively to support the overall aim of hitting key performance indicators (KPI’s) and stretch targets. Carrying out both predictive and reactive work you will work both independently and as part of a shift team.You will bring with you experience of PLC’s, either Siemens or Allen Bradley controlled equipment, servo invertor drives together with a ‘fix it for good’ mentality. You will also need to be comfortable in working with large scale plant and machinery and have a passion for safety.Who You AreProven Electrical and Instrumentation experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environmentA recognised electrical or electrical/instrument engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualificationProven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems and equipmentExcellent trouble shooting skills, with the ability to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasksExperience in panel wiringKnowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic componentsStrong communication skillsStrong PC skills (excel, word, project)HNC level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalentWhat We Can Offer YouOur purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do.
