As the Key Account Manager, you will be working with a mixture of some of our largest GSI and VAR Partners. Within this role you will develop and grow the channel partner accounts, highlighting and generating new opportunities for our vendor specialists. Maximise and expand partner engagement across the portfolio, and implement partner plans to increase the vendor pipeline.Ignition Technology is a market-changing organization, that specialises in the discovery and distribution of innovative and disruptive IT security and networking solutions to the IT community. As the Key Account Manager, you will:
  • Understand our product offering and how it can complement your client's needs.
  • Grow and develop new and existing accounts
  • Maintain and develop relationships to further enhance the reseller relationship
  • Work to achieve both individual and team targets against agreed profit requirements
  • Proactively work with the marketing team to create sales collateral for lead generation campaigns
  • Ensure internal systems are up to date with vendor pricelists, collateral, discount structures and processes.
  • Produce monthly sales forecast reports and statistics for management
  • Implement and develop sales strategies to Identify and close new business opportunities
  • Understand a diverse range of vendor products ensuring that knowledge of features and pricing is up to date.
  • Articulate and promote the Ignition proposition
  • Attend Ignition Technology and partner webinars and events
  • Responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets around tangible results back to the business
  • Generating leads, arrange face to face meetings with potential new clients to increase visibility of the product and the brand across the UK
  • Sales administration ownership
  • This is an external role with an expectation of 2-3 days attending client site
The ideal Key account Manager will:
  • Have previous experience working with key resellers such Softcat, Bytes, CDW etc.
  • Have IT or Distribution Sales and Account Management experience
  • Have Knowledge of the IT channel and commercial challenges for distribution
  • Have experienced presenting at a senior level
  • Be engaging with strong negotiation skills and demonstrate the ability to use influence and close business.
  • Be Collaborative, outgoing, and highly motivated, with a pro-active approach and strong business acumen
  • Be articulate with strong communication and Analytical skills
  • Take responsibility for personal development with a strong desire to work to and surpass targets
