We are seeking a Service Managerfor the Integrated Sexual Health Service in North Central London, which also includes HIV services delivered from the Mortimer Market Centre. The successful candidate will take on managerial responsibility for planning and overseeing the operational delivery of sexual health and HIV services. Working closely with other Service Managers across the North Central London area and the senior leadership team, the post holder will play a vital role in ensuring services are effective, meet quality standards, achieve financial and commissioning targets, and respond to the needs of patients.Main duties of the job
  • Provide managerial oversight to ensure the smooth and effective operational running of the service, including robust financial management aligned with Service, Divisional, and Trust targets.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Service Director to implement the strategic direction of the service at an operational level.
  • Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, participating in service management, decision-making, and offering expert advice and guidance to leadership colleagues.

  • Substantial NHS experience in Sexual Health or HIV Services or an equivalent service, with operational experience (including budgetary/financial) at a middle management level.
  • Proven experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team which include administrators and clinicians
  • Experience of working on public health initiatives which operate on a population health scale with vulnerable and marginalised groups
  • Experience of organising and chairing of small and large steering groups
  • Experience of policy development and strategic planning and clinical governance development resulting in change management projects/programmes
  • Experience of successful interagency partnership working
  • Ability to negotiate complex contracts with the approval of the Senior Manager
  • Experience of working within statutory and other regulatory frameworks within which health and social care services operate and translating these at an operational level
  • Experience of developing programmes designed to improve user and carer involvement to increase access and reduce health inequality
  • Experience of managing a diverse workforce and evidence of action to reduce inequality in the workforce
  • Excellent presentation skills
