- Develop and manage budgets for door packages across multiple commercial sites.
- Monitor cost performance and identify efficiencies in procurement and installation.
- Ensure accurate valuations, variations, and final account settlements.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with door suppliers, manufacturers, installers, and main contractors.
- Oversee contractual obligations and performance of sub-contract packages engaged with main contracting companies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., fire ratings, acoustic performance, DDA compliance).
- Resolve disputes and manage claims related to door package scope.
- Conduct commercial risk reviews including lead times, specification changes, and site constraints.
- Identify and act on commercial opportunities to enhance profitability.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies across all contractual engagements.
- Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and Contracts Managers responsible for delivering customer service, contractual obligations, and budget management.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on project success and client satisfaction.
- Liaise with architects, project managers, and site teams to ensure smooth integration of door packages.
- Provide commercial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of UK construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)
- Experience of managing and leading a busy commercial department
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills
- Able to influence others and inspire a positive culture
- Able to demonstrate excellent customer relationship management
- Membership of RICS or similar professional body preferred
