Specialist SEMH Setting | Full-Time | September StartWe’re looking for a confident, caring Behaviour Support Mentor to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Gateshead this September.This is a school that believes in creating a supportive, understanding environment where positive relationships are key, emotional wellbeing is prioritised, and every young person is given the chance to succeed.If you’re passionate about helping pupils manage behaviour, build resilience, and develop confidence — this could be the perfect role for you.Your role will include:Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, both one-to-one and in small groupsHelping pupils manage behaviour positively, using restorative and trauma-informed approachesBuilding trusting relationships and acting as a consistent, reliable presenceWorking alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to support individual needsWe’re looking for someone who:Has experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or in a pastoral support roleBrings a calm, empathetic, and confident approach to every situationUnderstands the value of positive relationships and emotional regulationIs available full-time from SeptemberIs Thrive trained, or willing to complete this through Protocol EducationWhat you’ll get with Protocol Education:Weekly PAYE pay — no umbrella feesFree access to Thrive training and behaviour support CPDDedicated consultant support from people who know Gateshead schoolsQuick, straightforward registrationWant to make a real difference in a specialist SEMH setting?
