Start date: SEPT 2025. Permanent position.An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced teacher to join a specialist school in Hillingdon from September 2025. The school is a provision to students with a diverse range of needs including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders.We are seeking a committed and creative Literacy Lead to champion the development of reading, writing, and communication across the school. You will play a pivotal role in shaping a rich and inclusive literacy curriculum that enables every learner to thrive, no matter their starting point.What you’ll be doing:Leading on whole-school literacy strategy, raising standards and outcomes across all key stagesCollaborating with staff to embed a consistent and impactful approach to literacy teachingSupporting the development of targeted interventions to meet the diverse needs of learnersDriving a love of reading and storytelling throughout the school communityMonitoring, evaluating, and celebrating literacy progress across the curriculumWhat we’re looking for:A qualified teacher with a strong background in literacy and curriculum developmentProven experience of raising literacy standards in a school or specialist provisionAn enthusiastic, reflective practitioner with excellent interpersonal skillsPassionate about inclusive education and empowering learners with SENDThis is a unique chance to lead literacy in a nurturing, values-driven environment where creativity and personal development are encouraged.
