We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic Stroke and Dysphagia Team in Dumfries on a full-time locum basis for a duration of three months. This role offers an hourly pay rate of £32.37 to £37.64, depending on your experience.As a locum, you will enjoy the perks of flexibility, variety, and the unique opportunity to expand your skills across different settings. What you will do:
  • Assess and manage individuals with stroke-related communication and swallowing difficulties, providing tailored therapy and interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of dysphagia and implement suitable management plans.
  • Provide training and support to staff and carers, ensuring best practices are upheld in communication and swallowing management.
  • Keep detailed records of patient progress and adapt therapy plans as required.
