- Able to work in adverse environmental conditions (i.e. ducts, restricted spaces, boiler house, inclement weather, etc.).
- Demonstrate high degree of cross trade flexibility, including building maintenance.
- Able to work with discretion/ in a sensitive manner in and around patient situations.

- oPossess the ability to work and communicate effectively in a pleasant manner with all other staff across QE Facilities contracted sites
- oMust be able to communicate positively with customers, patients and staff from other departments & organisations
- oMust be adaptable and flexible in all areas of work
- oBe fully aware of Health & Safety responsibilities relating to their work and possess sufficient technical knowledge to avoid any danger to themselves, colleagues or users of any QEF contracted sites
- oBe able to provide and receive routine and technical information from colleagues and non-technical staff to enable safe use of complex hospital equipment
- oProvide advice or instruction on safe use of equipment to non-technical staff, carers or patients
- oMust have completed a suitable Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship
- oGood customer services and customer interaction
- oMaintenance experience in hospitals or a similar environment
- oIndustrial and domestic plumbing and drainage
- oCity & Guilds craft Certificates Mechanical (Essential) or equivalent
- oElectrical and/or Mechanical BTec ONC or relevant experience
- oCurrent UK driving licence
- oHNC/HND
- oMust be able to work and act on his/her own initiative with no supervision
