Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annumA specialist consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their Underground Structures and Tunnelling team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of the most complex and technically challenging infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.With a growing portfolio of projects in North America, the ideal candidate will have prior experience working on Canadian projects. Previous experience in underground structures or tunnelling is not required – just a solid foundation in structural engineering and a strong interest in developing expertise in this field.Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of international infrastructure projects
- Perform structural analysis and design using industry-leading software and global standards
- Assist with the coordination of multidisciplinary teams and communication with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to quality assurance through peer reviews and adherence to standardised procedures
- Follow internal project management and service delivery processes
- Support business development activities and build client relationships
- Collaborate with internal teams across disciplines
- Working towards Chartered status (e.g. ICE or IStructE)
- Postgraduate qualification in structural engineering or a related discipline
- Strong experience in structural design (steel and concrete)
- Experience working on Canadian projects is essential
- Familiarity with multiple design standards (Eurocodes, UK codes, AASHTO, and other international standards)
- Interest in developing expertise in underground structures and tunnelling
- Competitive salary of £40,000 to £50,000
