Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant - SEN SchoolLocation: Great Barr, BirminghamStart Date: September 2025Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience or interest in working with children with special educational needs? We are looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming SEN school community in Great Barr.About the Role:As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and more. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff, you will help to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Support teaching staff in the preparation of classroom materials and activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Encourage independence and social development in pupils
Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with the wider team

Requirements:

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting
A patient, caring, and flexible approach to support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
