GSL Education is currently looking for enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4.Key Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant:Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students stay focused and make progressAssist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of subjectsSupport pupils with special educational needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or additional learning needsHelp maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentEncourage students’ confidence, participation, and independence in their learningSupervise pupils during non-lesson times, including breaks and school activitiesRequirements for a Secondary Teaching Assistant:Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar settingA good understanding of SEN, Autism, ADHD, and behaviour management strategies is desirableStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting learningAbility to work well both independently and as part of a teamAn enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)Why Join GSL Education?Competitive daily pay between £85 – £100, depending on experienceFlexible roles to suit your availability – full-time, part-time, or short-term placementsSupport from a dedicated team of education consultantsOpportunities for professional development and trainingSafeguarding Statement:
