Industry: Rail / Fire alarmsMorson recruitment are currently recruiting for, various PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) Electrical Mate positions x 5, across the London underground network.The ideal candidate must ideally have worked within the Fire industry and also ideally have LU experience and hold a driving licence and available to work night shifts.The PPM Electrical Mate, will undertake planned maintenance activities, on a wide range of assets mainly on Trackside environment.Duties:
  • Testing smoke detectors
  • General maintenance of fire devices
  • Fire plant maintenance
  • Testing electrical equipment
  • Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule
  • Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues any administration tasks in a timely manner
  • Comply with relevant QEHS requirements
  • Comply with Drug & Alcohol policy
  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a nightly basis
  • Ability to support the delivery of daily tasks in line with business expectations
  • Working as part of a team and individually dependant on task
  • Health and Safety awareness and practice
  • Reporting of progress to site person in charge on a regular basis
  • Utilising our ServiceNow platform to assist in completing visit reports
This position requires night shifts, Working Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am, You will be working predominantly on fire systems located within underground staff areas and control rooms. Ideally applicants must possess ICI-LU certification and have experience working in underground environments or from a Fire industry background.Rate:
From £150 - £200 per day – depending on experience via PAYE or umbrella.Certifications & Standards:
  • ICI-LU certification
