Location: SouthamptonThe Opportunity:Supply Desk is proud to be working with a progressive and welcoming secondary school in Southampton, currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Science Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. The role will initially run through to December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.The successful applicant will join a supportive and well-resourced Science department, teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You’ll be helping learners to develop a solid understanding of core scientific principles across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while promoting curiosity and critical thinking.We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS), ECTs, or unqualified teachers with strong secondary-level Science teaching experience.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth.Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.Encourage a love of scientific enquiry and practical investigation.Participate in departmental planning, enrichment opportunities, and whole-school activities.About the School:Mixed 11–16 secondary school located close to central Southampton.Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with a strong emphasis on student development and wellbeing.Dynamic leadership team and a culture of high expectations and support.
