- The client is the UK market leader in waste and municipal services software. Their innovative web and mobile solutions help local councils manage recycling, waste, and street services. With 1 in 3 UK councils using their systems, they play a key role in supporting essential public services through technology.
- Feature Development: Assist in developing new functionality under supervision, writing clean, maintainable code.
- Bug Fixing: Identify and resolve issues to maintain product stability.
- Code Quality: Follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, and write well-documented code.
- Agile Participation: Engage in stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Version Control: Use Git for branching, committing, and collaboration.
- Cross-Product Exposure: Contribute to web apps, mobile apps, and APIs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, testers, and other developers.
- Learning & Development: Continuously improve your knowledge of tools, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Task Ownership: Take charge of small features or fixes from start to finish with guidance.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade C or above
- Completion of a relevant software apprenticeship, college course, or demonstrable coding experience
- Experience with:
- Visual Studio, C#, Blazor, ASP.NET, or MVC
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery
- SQL Server, T-SQL
- Familiarity with design patterns (e.g. MVVM, Dependency Injection)
- Some exposure to Flutter or Xamarin is helpful
- Bonus: experience with Syncfusion components
- The salary for this role is £30-£32,500 depending on skill and experience.
- Pro rata for part-time.
