EstimatorAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full-time Estimator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in estimation, particularly in bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing for our clients while maintaining our company's profitability standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality quotations by meticulously evaluating enquiries, drawings, specifications, and related documents
  • Analyse project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and time needed to complete jobs
  • Conduct on-site assessments to gather accurate information for estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and craftsmen to ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects
  • Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and factor them into estimates
  • Research and stay updated on market prices for materials, labor, and subcontractor costs
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Revise estimates as needed based on client feedback or project changes
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference
  • Assist in the development of project timelines and schedules
  • Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to execution
  • Continuously improve estimation processes and techniques
  • Monitor project costs throughout execution and analyse variances
  • Provide regular reports on estimation accuracy and project profitability
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimation, preferably in bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects
  • Proficient in estimation software and tools
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
