This role supports BRE's testing laboratories by ensuring essential equipment is accurately calibrated and available for use. As part of the Assurance Operations Department, the role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and traceability of testing results through efficient calibration management.Key Responsibilities and Tasks:Arrange calibration of equipment with third-party suppliers, including researching providers and obtaining quotesCalibrate equipment in-house by following documented procedures, recording results, and preparing certificates (training provided)Act as the point of contact for both internal laboratory teams and external calibration providersCoordinate and manage the flow of equipment requiring calibration or repair, ensuring clear communication with lab teamsAssist in scheduling third-party calibration workloads and tracking progress throughout the monthEnsure all documentation is completed accurately and work meets internal service requirementsArchive technical records and calibration certificates as requiredSupport continuous improvement by contributing ideas and process enhancementsProvide advice and solutions on calibration and repair queries once sufficient experience is gainedUndertake other tasks to support the smooth operation of the calibration serviceWhat we are looking for
