Job Description :OverviewWe are seeking a proactive SHEQ Officer to support Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality compliance across multi-utility and electric vehicle (EV) charging projects. Based in Ilkeston, you will work closely with operational teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance on-site and within the business.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and monitoring of SHEQ policies and procedures across projects.Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.Deliver safety inductions and training to staff, contractors, and visitors.Investigate incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations.Maintain and update SHEQ documentation, including policies, method statements, and risk assessments.Promote a positive SHEQ culture throughout the business.Liaise with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies on SHEQ matters.Monitor environmental impact and ensure sustainability targets are met.RequirementsRequirementsPrevious experience in a SHEQ role within multi-utilities, construction, or civil engineering.Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.Relevant SHEQ qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and influence at all levels.Full UK driving licence.
