SEN Teaching Assistant£90 - £95 per dayNorth CambridgeDo you have a passion for helping every child succeed, no matter the challenges they face?Are you a caring and motivated individual who can make a real impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?If so, we're looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialised SEN school in North Cambridge.Your Role: Making a Difference Every DayAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key part of our team, providing essential support to students to ensure they have a positive and successful learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Tailored Student Support: You'll work with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them understand topics, finish tasks, and navigate their educational journey.
  • Classroom Assistance: You'll collaborate with the teacher to deliver lessons, prepare materials, and help create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encouraging Growth: You'll mentor students and help them build important social, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
  • Tracking Progress: You'll provide valuable feedback on student progress to help inform and adjust support strategies.
Who We're Looking ForWe need a compassionate and resilient person with a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:
  • The legal right to work in the UK and a valid Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
  • Empathy: The ability to connect with students and stay calm and supportive, especially during difficult moments.
  • A "Can-Do" Attitude: You're proactive and able to take initiative, anticipate needs, and find creative solutions.
  • Strong Communication: You can communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents and work well as part of a friendly team.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school or with SEN, is highly desirable.
