
Acute Care Nurse Specialist

- Attending clinical emergencies and providing care to deteriorating adult inpatients
- Reviewing patients with acute kidney injuries, working closely with our renal consultants
- Autonomously providing clinical review, including physical examination, assessment and diagnosis of deteriorating patients
- Reviewing critical care patients post-discharge, co-ordinating MDT care to ensure opportunities for physical and emotional rehabilitation are maximised
- Maintaining accurate patient documentation in-line with professionals body's requirements for all patients reviewed or where advice has been provided
- Providing site management out of hours in conjunction with the off site on-call manager, being responsible for the allocation of staffing resources, managing incidents and supporting staff, patients and their relatives.
- Post registration qualification in Clinical Examination and Diagnostics
- Significant experience in an acute setting
