Clinical Lead Onyx Ward - 30 hours per weekOnyx Ward is a purpose built low secure ward for up to 7 men diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) The ward was designed as an environment to meet the needs of offenders diagnosed with ASD to access treatment that is conducive to their recovery. The ward has living spaces for patients that have their own lounge and garden areas and ability to regulate temperature and light.At Brooklands Hospital we are committed to providing the best standard of care and experience for individuals whilst in an inpatient setting, supporting them to gain skills to reach their potential and maintain a good quality of life.This post is required to support clinical leadership on the ward, with a focus on the safety and quality aspects of Patient care.   • Undertake comprehensive assessment and treatment planning and provides direct nursing interventions, advice and evaluation to the Secure Service ensuring that the care planning process does not delay the patient progress through the treatment pathway.
  • Ensure that care plans are appropriate to the needs of the patients, person centred and reviewed in a timely manner that reflects the changing needs of the patient.
  • Ensure the utilisation of evidence-based assessments, formulations and nursing therapeutic interventions, which appropriately meet the needs of patients on an individual and group basis
