Our success relies on the professionalism, commitment and caring nature of each and every team member and we're always looking for similar-minded people to join us.As a Housekeeper in our care home setting, you should ensure our spaces are clean, comfortable, and safe. Your primary role is to ensure all commercial spaces are fantastically clean and in great condition for our staff, residents, and visitors.About the rolePrinciple Roles and Responsibilities
  • To complete daily cleaning requirements to both bedrooms and communal areas to an exceptional standard within the allocated timeframe.
  • To report very dirty rooms, damages or any other unusual occurrences to the relevant manager.
  • To inspect bed linen and towels when changing beds and bathrooms, ensuring a consistent condition, fresh, colour consistent and free from stains and tears. Removing and reporting any rejected linen and towel stock.
  • To be aware of the condition of all areas of the home and report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Operative.
  • To dispose of rubbish in the correct manner ensuring recyclable items are separated for recycling.
  • To ensure that instructions for cleaning materials are always adhered to and regulations are followed.
  • To report any safety hazards or defects that cannot be rectified to the relevant manager e.g. faulty electrical equipment.
  • To comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Team Handbook.
The ideal candidate should be trustworthy and have an exceptional eye for detail. They should have a positive attitude and be able to integrate into a team of efficient and confident people, supporting each other to create a Housekeeping Department that is the foundation of our smooth-running care home.The post holder will need to show respect, understanding the rights for privacy and demonstrate high professional standards of propriety in their day-to-day work. The ideal candidate should also show a keen interest in learning and growing their skills through additional required training, peer mentoring and frequent performance reviews.Schedule: Various days including weekends hours of work 8-4pm.Wage rate: Up to £12.21 per hour.Benefits: Company pension.
