- Ideally experience in Multi poducts (Outerwear, jersey, woven -across Ladies / Kids wear and some mens would be an advantage)
- Researching trends, Creating and developing original design ideas, concepts, and original seasonal themes and collections
- Design commercial, trend-driven collections or key pieces tailored for customers or to fit customer brief.
- Creating clear and detailed specs/CADs / tech packs for the factories
- Assist the design process
- Liaising with factories and overseas offices
- Attend design meetings , building strong relationships with retail customers
- Inspiration , sourcing and development trips abroad
- Attend design meetings and oversee sample development , also to oversee the UK showroom.
- +3 years minimum background in Design (preferably womenswear and girlswear)
- Educated to degree level in Fashion or other related subject
- A good understanding of illustrator and or photoshop
- Creative and trend driven with a good eye for colour and fabric
- Located within the Derbyshire / Midlands area.
- Flexible and able to travel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player with a positive and enthuastic attitide and able to build relationships
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Willingness to travel for buyer presentations, monthly meetings, and to visit offshore production.
