Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 P/AWe're seeking an ambitious and proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team of a tier-one rail contractor working on HS2. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the commercial team, gaining hands-on exposure to projects and progressing quickly in your career.Key Responsibilities
- Commercial administration, including managing records and reports.
- Processing and reconciling timesheets.
- Tracking project costs and ensuring accurate records.
- Assisting with cost reconciliation and reporting.
- Progressing into forecasting, subcontractor management, and broader commercial duties.
- Ideally degree or diploma qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (but attitude and willingness to develop are just as important).
- Previous contractor-side experience on rail projects is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time.
