THE POSTIONWe are recruiting a new permanent position of Process Engineer in Lincolnshire. The role is a business lead role, where you will provide support and guidance to the O&M and Project teams as technical expert and authority in relation to equipment, process and operational requirements, limitations and improvements.You will be responsible in delivering Process improvements that increase site availability, reliability, and increase EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization).The Process Engineer will work in conjunction with the site O&M, Performance, Engineering and Project teams to develop and deliver projects that improve plant availability, reliability, and performance through improvements in maintenance strategies, equipment, spares, operational practices, and plant modifications.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Work with relevant teams and, and through data analysis develop and manage project interactions with the site that would lead to performance, operational and EBITDA improvements.
  • Provide technical process support to the Optimisation Manager in developing and delivery process initiatives and strategies.
  • Deliver projects that improve site reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Provide expert technical advice to the O&M Team and Project teams.
  • Support compliance with the relevant Project specifications, including review and endorsement of deviations in process engineering element
  • Supports preparation and participation in key project reviews such as design/P&ID reviews, plot plan, HAZOP, LOPA and environmental reviews and reporting
  • Support business plan preparation and delivery of projects, programmes, and plant modification.
  • Proactive and creative approach to fault diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Ensure plans and targets are achieved safely, on time, at or below budget, to the correct quality and within the environmental limits of the station.
  • Maintain a network across VPI portfolio that enables a portfolio approach, shares best practice, and deliver synergies.
  • Support work activities at different locations and travel within the portfolio from time to time where the business need arises.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
  • A degree Qualified Engineer
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
  • Process Safety Engineering experience (Hazop, Risk Assessment, PSER, PSSR)
  • Knowledge of budgets and contract management.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and codes and standards.
  • Project management
  • Good technical capability with knowledge in Process and Operational practices
  • Strong data analytics capability

  • Ability to assist and support colleagues and promote co-operation.
  • Strong interpersonal / communication / presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple work projects running simultaneously as the business need arises.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and encourage collaborative working relationships.
