Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to develop independence and confidence.What You'll Be Doing as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-to-one support to a pupil, helping them access the curriculum.
- Assist with classroom activities and ensure the student remains focused and involved.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to adapt learning materials.
- Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress and engagement.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning space.
- Support the pupil during transitions and break times as needed.
- Experience working with children in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with individual pupils.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
