- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Animal Management
- Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English
- Experience working in an animal management environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate students in practical settings
- Supervise students and support practical sessions within the Animal Management Unit
- Deliver high standards of animal care in line with legislation and college policies
- Lead on projects to improve the unit and expand species accommodation
- Plan and implement schemes of learning in collaboration with tutors
- Maintain stock levels and liaise with suppliers for procurement
- Support promotional events and student recruitment activities
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
- Maintain accurate records and support student assessment and progress
- Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
