You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, help manage classroom behaviour, and provide one-to-one or small group support to ensure every child reaches their potential.Main Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to teachers, ensuring lessons run smoothly.
- Assist students in understanding lesson content and staying engaged with tasks.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning and progress.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with their social and emotional needs to enhance wellbeing.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times such as breaks or trips.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to track student progress and provide feedback.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support young learners.
- A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
