Job descriptionSchools around Cambridgeshire are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams and support the learning and development of their pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming school environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Beginning September 2025.Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Work with individuals or small groups of children to support their learning
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials
  • Encourage and support pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
  • Supervise children during break times and support their social development
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
  • Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting
  • Hold a relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or have equivalent experience
  • Are patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
  • Have good communication and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
