  • Provide legal advice to the organisation on governance, contracts, and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting the not-for-profit sector.
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures for the organisation.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal issues when necessary.
  • Support the organisation in managing legal risks effectively.
  • Deliver training and updates to staff on legal and compliance matters.
  • Act as the key legal point of contact for the organisation.

  • A qualification in law and eligibility to practise as a solicitor or barrister in England.
  • Previous experience in a legal role, ideally within the not-for-profit or charitable sector.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
