Location: Bristol & SurroundingSalary: £45,000 + Overtime (OTE £80,000) + BenefitsNEOS Engineering is recruiting a Heavy Plant engineer on behalf of a market-leading machinery solutions provider. Our client is a well-established and fast-growing business supplying high-quality recycling, forestry, and material processing equipment across the UK. With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, their machinery supports essential environmental operations nationwide.Due to continued growth, the company is looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer (Mobile Plant Mechanic) to support field-based servicing and repairs of heavy mobile plant equipment.The Role:You’ll be joining a skilled service team as a Heavy Plant Engineer responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing a fleet of shredders and screeners used in recycling operations—both company-owned and customer equipment.Key responsibilities:
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Service and refurbish heavy plant equipment at customer sites across the UK.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and build strong customer relationships.
  • Work independently and manage your schedule efficiently.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified or time-served mechanical engineer.
  • Proven experience working with heavy mobile plant machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Previous experience with shredders and screeners is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Must provide own hand tools.
  • Willingness to travel, work paid overtime, and participate in an on-call rota.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Competitive starting salary of £45,000 per annum
  • Overtime available at 1.5x rate outside core hours
