- Contribute to LMAM's overall business strategy and annual budget setting.
- Act as the primary advisor to the senior management team and Board on all matters relating to LMAM electricity assets.
- Develop and control budgets to manage resource and capacity.
- Evaluate and report on operational performance by ensuring key data and metrics are captured and analysed as required.
- Proactively identify and mitigate areas of risk and/or inefficiency.
- Support partners in developing and delivering LMAM's electricity offering.
- Formulate and implement future development strategy for electricity networks growth.
- Represent LMAM interests in a diverse range of stakeholder engagements, such as with DNO, IDNO, ICP, NESO, INA, ENA, DESNZ
- Develop, implement, and manage LMAM's capability for electricity asset operation and maintenance including but not limited to identifying and securing the right commercial arrangements, resources, systems, technical and operational standards, and procedures.
- Inspire, motivate, manage, and oversee team members to drive LMAM actions forward; and
- Communicate LMAM's objectives clearly throughout our respective organisations and ensure all team members involved are competently trained to carry out their roles to the industry leading standard.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements, including ensuring regulatory reporting obligations are met and submitted in a timely manner.
- Construction or engineering background in the electricity distribution sector, such as in an IDNO/DNO or large ICP.
- Experience in a senior leadership position.
- An electrical engineering related Degree or HNC/HND.
- Exceptional knowledge of core operational functions and principles, including commercial, logistics, electrical engineering, and employee management.
- Proven ability to analyse, manage and improve existing operational processes and systems for maximum efficiency, productivity, and resilience.
- Working knowledge of electricity construction industry regulations and legislation.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering process change and of progressing continuous improvement.
- Highly numerate with experience of setting and owning budgets and analysing trends and patterns.
