The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to curriculum development, research, and professional engagement activities within the field.This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a progressive, research-informed academic environment that values innovation, practical relevance, and academic excellence.Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Accounting and Finance (e.g. Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Auditing, Taxation)
  • Develop course materials and assessments that reflect current industry practices and academic standards
  • Supervise student dissertations and research projects
  • Contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement
  • Participate in research or scholarly activity aligned with the department's strategic goals
  • Engage with industry and professional bodies to strengthen academic and employment links
  • Provide academic support and pastoral care to students
  • Contribute to the administrative functions of the department
About YouEssential Criteria:
  • A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent professional qualification) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Demonstrable knowledge of core accounting and finance subjects
  • A strong commitment to student success and high-quality teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage in scholarly activity or applied research
Desirable Criteria:
  • A PhD (or near completion) in Accounting, Finance, or related area
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA)
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or willingness to gain it
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and blended delivery
