- Provide the first line of response to sales and field teams by providing detailed competitive analysis that quantifies AMD Adaptive SoC competitive position versus leading competitors.- Generate, document, and guide legal approval of required competitive features, performance and efficiency claims for launch, industry events and other key competitive collateral.
- Contribute competitive and technical expertise to marketing, sales and training collateral.
- Evolve and create new trainings to help sales, field, channel and business unit partners become more familiar and empowered to sell based on superior AMD adaptive SoC features.- Lead recurring cross functional competitive alignment meetings across the organization.- Track competitive developments and ensure timely competitive alerts and analysis are sent out to internal stakeholders.Key skills:The ideal person is:
- Seasoned product marketing professional with 10+ years of FPGA technology experience: FPGA products, embedded SoC and FPGA software tools and technologies.- Analytical – can assess seemingly complex challenges and solutions with myriad facts and data points, and can identify those that are the most essential to the issue at hand.
- Creative – skilled in the ability to refine complexity into easily digestible information and to re-purpose relevant information without compromising integrity or veracity of data.
- Customer-centric – Realizes that we have multiple stakeholders— engineering, architecture, field, sales that are vital to success, and looks to include all of these stakeholders in developing compelling competitive collateral.
- A storyteller – can engage audiences of all types (verbally, in writing and in other formats) by telling easy-to-understand stories that deliver impactful statements of how AMD adaptive SoC products and technologies deliver exceptional value.
- Inquisitive – asks key questions and identifies critical details or omissions in competitive products and solutions that open the door to advantageous response by AMD.
- Responsive – Lets stakeholders know when the issue or questions is received and understood. Pro-actively sets and meets expectations for follow-up.
- Flexible – can self-prioritize and adjust based on changing business demands.Preferred Experience:- Direct experience in any one of the following areas: Product Marketing/ Management, Field Applications, Systems engineering, Competitive Marketing or Product Planning.
- Strong skills in using Excel to aggregate data from disparate internal and external sources to build compelling competitive messaging.
- Detail oriented with strong affinity for identifying and articulating ways to demonstrate how technology and innovation enables customers take advantage of AMD adaptive SoC portfolio to meet their goals.
- Experience in developing compelling tools and collateral that establishes AMD adaptive SoC’s as a superior alternative versus competitors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key FPGA customer use cases and competitive benchmark metrics (performance, efficiency, features..)
- Experience in a large, fast growing, fast paced company and/or in the high-tech sector.
- Analytical skills and savvy to get to the most important aspects of an issue/opportunity.
- Demonstrated cross-functional communication, diplomacy, and relationship building skills.
