- BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent (BSc in Exercise Sciences / Physiology).
- Basic Life Support
- SCST certificate
- Immediate life support
- Good clinical practice
- Attendance at ARTP or other recognised CPET interpretation course
- Spirometry certificate
- Registered or working towards registration with the Academy for healthcare Science (AHCS) and/or HCPC
- Experience of non-invasive cardiology investigations - ECG, ambulatory ECG
- Experience conducting spirometry testing.
- Experience conducting clinical treadmill exercise tolerance testing.
- Experience conducting full lung function testing
- Experience conducting clinical cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
- Experience of training junior members of staff
- Knowledge of the data protection act and an understanding of patient confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunity and diversity issues
- Knowledge of a Millennium (patient appointment system) or similar system
- Ability to work in and contribute in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to cope with a heavy workload
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload and show initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to use Microsoft (word and Excel) applications
- Knowledge of current professional issues
- Knowledge of a CRS (patient appointment system) or similar
