Salary: £120 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

We have a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a highly regarded infant school on a part-time, temporary basis. The selected Primary Teacher will be responsible for a Year 2 class, working 2.5 days per week, providing high-quality education and pastoral care to young learners.The school is a welcoming, vibrant, and caring infant school that prides itself on its warm, family atmosphere. They believe in providing a secure and happy environment where every child is valued and encouraged to become a confident and independent learner. With a focus on creativity and play-based learning, the school lays a crucial foundation for a lifelong love of education. The successful Primary Teacher will be instrumental in ensuring their Year 2 pupils are prepared and excited for the transition to Key Stage 2.As a Primary Teacher, you will be expected to:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for a Year 2 class, covering all areas of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Build a positive and stimulating learning environment that supports the needs of all learners.
  • Assess pupil progress in line with KS1 SATs frameworks and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated Key Stage 1 team.
In order to be considered for this Primary Teacher role, the candidate must:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is highly desirable).
  • Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Be a nurturing, patient, and creative practitioner.
