With its Outstanding Ofsted rating, the school offers excellent opportunities for joyful and engaging learning experiences.About the Role:As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will provide essential guidance, encouragement, and tailored strategies to support students who may face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.Responsibilities:
  • Support students in managing and improving their behaviour through targeted interventions.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions to promote emotional wellbeing and positive social skills.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Foster resilience, self-confidence, and motivation in students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to encourage collaboration.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders.
  • Help develop personalised support plans and contribute to regular review meetings.
  • Encourage students to achieve personal and academic goals, ensuring equal access to learning.
Requirements:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is preferable but new applicants are also encouraged.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
