With its Outstanding Ofsted rating, the school offers excellent opportunities for joyful and engaging learning experiences.About the Role:As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will provide essential guidance, encouragement, and tailored strategies to support students who may face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.Responsibilities:
- Support students in managing and improving their behaviour through targeted interventions.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions to promote emotional wellbeing and positive social skills.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
- Foster resilience, self-confidence, and motivation in students.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to encourage collaboration.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders.
- Help develop personalised support plans and contribute to regular review meetings.
- Encourage students to achieve personal and academic goals, ensuring equal access to learning.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (or equivalent qualifications).
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is preferable but new applicants are also encouraged.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic under pressure.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
