
Residential Children's Support Worker (EBD)

- NVQ level 3 Diploma or a 2 years experience in a children's residential setting
- Experience in childcare settings
- Safeguarding children knowledge
- Ability to handle conflict effectively
- Managing stress in self and others
- Good written and verbal communication
- IT literacy
- Contribute to Care Plans, Behaviour Support Plans, and Risk Assessments
- Participate in regular reviews with internal and external professionals
- Record daily logs, incidents, and progress in line with regulatory requirements
- Advocate for young people in meetings with social workers, education providers, and other agencies
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to promote best outcome
- Provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with the individual needs of each young person
- Build consistent, trusting relationships through key working sessions and daily routines
- Promote and safeguard the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of young people
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the home through daily routines and tasks
- Complete health and safety checks and report concerns immediately
- Participate in shift handovers, team meetings, training, and supervisions
- Follow lone working procedures when required
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, disclosures, or safeguarding concerns
- Uphold the home’s values, policies, and standards at all times
