- Working with elemental materials such as nickel, titanium, platinum, and rare earth metals.
- Delivering strategic sourcing and contract management, including negotiations and pricing.
- Managing large datasets to influence decisions and support programme delivery.
- Researching and presenting market intelligence and commercial insights.
- Identifying and mitigating financial and commercial risks.
- An industrial background in metals or other relevant raw materials (e.g. plastics, glass).
- Experience as a buyer in a regulated or complex industry.
- Strong strategic analysis and data handling capabilities.
- Understanding of procurement processes and commercial contract management.
- A degree in a relevant field and/or CIPS qualification (desirable).
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
