Hourly Rate: PAYE £15.78 | Umbrella £19.91

We're currently seeking a compassionate and resilient Family Support & Intervention Worker to join a specialist team delivering life-changing support to women and families affected by domestic abuse across London.Role Overview:
You will play a vital role in supporting women with complex needs who have recently fled domestic abuse and are living in temporary refuge accommodation. Working across several London-based refuges, you will provide tailored case management, emotional support, and practical interventions to help individuals regain control, build confidence, and move toward independence.This is a dynamic, trauma-informed role that requires strong interpersonal skills, experience of working with vulnerable families, and the ability to build partnerships with external services including housing, health, and safeguarding teams.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one emotional and practical support to women with multiple needs, including mental health issues, substance use, or housing insecurity.Work in partnership with refuge staff and multi-agency teams to develop personalised support and safety plans.Assess risk using appropriate tools (e.g., DASH) and make referrals to MARAC and other safeguarding forums.Coordinate casework across multiple sites, ensuring consistent support and positive outcomes.Support service users to access mental health treatment, substance misuse recovery services, and income-related support.Organise and lead group wellbeing and empowerment activities across the refuges.Promote independence through life skills coaching – budgeting, cooking, managing tenancy responsibilities, etc.Guide women through housing applications, move-on plans, and grant processes for resettlement.Accurately record case notes and activity logs using internal systems in line with GDPR and data protection policies.What We're Looking For:
