
Recovery Theatre Practitioner - Band 5

- Long Day: 07:30-21:00
- Late Long Day: 09:00-22:30
- Monitor patients post-operatively, supporting safe and timely recovery and discharge
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Administer and check medications, including controlled drugs, in line with policies and regulatory guidance
- Support and mentor new staff and students, fostering professional growth and development
- Participate in the departmental on-call rota to ensure 24/7 patient cover
- Proven experience working in a recovery theatre setting is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide reassurance to patients and families
- Able to remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced theatre environment
- Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supervisory or mentoring experience is desirable
